Saints fandom is now visible at the Vatican.
The team says Saints owner Gayle Benson gave Pope Francis a customized New Orleans Saints jersey during an audience earlier this week.
The white road jersey had the name "Papa Francesco" and the No. 1 on the back.
A spokesperson says Benson met with the pope as part of a ten-day trip to Italy, Vatican City, and Germany, in which she's talking up investment in New Orleans.
