NWS Confirms Tornados In Livonia, Southwest La. After Severe Weather Monday

The National Weather Service confirms that multiple tornados touched down in Louisiana this week as part of a deadly storm system.

One plowed through the tiny town of Livonia, northwest of Baton Rouge. It was on the ground for about the length of a football field and has been classified as an EF-0.

Two people died in West Baton Rouge Parish from Monday's storm. One was a pregnant mother, due to give birth this week, who was killed when a tree hit her home.

In Southwest Louisiana, the National Weather Service in Lake Charles is confirming three tornadoes touched down Monday night.

An EF-2 hit Sulphur, another EF-2 hit Henderson, and an EF-1 hit Westlake.

A third storm related death was reported in St. Martin Parish, near Henderson.

Forecasters warn of another severe weather threat to end the week.
