A large snake is in the hands of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries after being rounded up from a back yard in Houma.

Bradley Lirette called the police after he found a 12-foot python coiled up in a flowerpot.

Police officer Donald Aubrey carefully captured the python, and the police department handed it over to Wildlife and Fisheries.

Two of Lirette's geese are missing, and he assumes the snake ate them.
