The Saints will be without a member of their defensive line to start the new season.
New Orleans defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon sustained a torn Achilles tendon during the offseason and will not be ready for training camp.
Saints coach Dennis Allen said that the injury occurred during an offseason running drill in the team's indoor facility.
The 29-year-old recorded 19 tackles and 3 1/2 sacks in 17 games with the team last season.
In other injury news, offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk will not be ready until at least training camp as he continues to deal with lingering knee issues.
