The Louisiana legislature is advancing a bill that limits the liability of drivers who have to make their way through crowds blocking a street.

Following some amendments, House Bill 383 says the driver must feel in danger of immediate harm from people blocking the road. It also says the driver can't intentionally harm pedestrians.

The bill would mean pedestrians can't sue a driver who feels threatened.

The House and Senate have both passed the bill.
