Drew Brees is joining the Saints Hall of Fame.

The Super Bowl winning quarterback is the only member of the Class of 2024.

In addition to the 2010 championship, Brees led the team to the playoffs nine times.

In his 15 years under center, Brees threw for at least 5,000 yards five different times. No other quarterback has done it more than once.

During the announcement Thursday, Brees noted he feels he had more football in him if not for injuries and would have played another three years in the NFL.

Brees, who last played in 2020, seriously considered coming out of retirement, but the diminishing capabilities of his surgically repaired shoulder prevented the comeback.

He also admitted that the end of his career had a lack of closure to it.
