The National Weather Service has confirmed two EF-1 tornadoes touched down in last week's storms.
One was in the Kentwood area. Winds got around 100 miles an hour, tearing down trees, power lines and damaging roofs, leaving a five-mile path of destruction stretched more than five-miles.
A second twister formed just north in Mississippi and stayed on the ground for 16 miles.
The NWS also reported 32 miles of damage in the St. Helena-Tangipahoa area from winds between 85 to 95 miles per hour.
