The lights are coming back on in Algiers after two rotten power poles collapsed on Sunday.
City Councilman J.P. Morrell says the broken poles compromised equipment and left more than 1,200 residents in the dark.
Entergy says the first report of the outage was around 3:30 p.m. in the English Turn and Patterson Road areas.
The utility company said repairs were expected to be finished by 8 p.m., but the estimated restoration time was later revised to 11 p.m.
