A popular Texas-based chain of travel centers may soon have a location in Lafayette.
In Thursday's meeting, the Lafayette Consolidated Government's Board of Zoning Adjustment approved the requirements needed for Buc-ee's to set up shop on Louisiana Avenue at I-10.
A Buc-ee's spokesman said the company has been interested in a Lafayette location for more than ten years.
The first Buc-ee's in Louisiana is scheduled to open next year in Ruston.
