Prairieville Man Arrested For Failing To Report Dead Body In Home

A Prairieville man is in custody and accused of not reporting that there was a dead body inside a home.

Ascension Parish deputies performed a welfare check at a home on Melrose Drive and found the body inside, along with 37-year-old Garryl Blouin.

Detectives found out that Blouin had been at the home with the dead person for several days without reporting the man's death to the authorities.

Blouin is charged with failure to seek assistance.
