Congressman Garret Graves is announcing that he's not running for reelection this fall.

The Republican's district was redrawn when state legislators were required to come up with a map that added a second majority-black district that favors Democratic candidates.

Graves may instead run for mayor of Baton Rouge, or challenge his fellow Republican Bill Cassidy for the U.S. Senate in 2026.
