New Orleans Police Department Welcomes New Recruit Class

The newest recruit class of the New Orleans Police Department are ready to hit the streets.

Recruit Class 202 trained for 27 weeks at the NOPD Training and Education Academy before being welcomed to the force on Monday by city officials.

The class of eleven men and five women includes four who are bilingual and two military veterans.

The new officers come from Louisiana, Florida, and New Jersey.
