Texas is now bracing for a Tropical Storm.

The National Hurricane Center just announced Tropical Storm Alberto has formed over the Western Gulf of Mexico.

Coastal towns in southern Texas are being urged to prepare for heavy rain, flooding and possible tornadoes today and tomorrow.

The NHC is also watching the same area as Alberto for the potential for another system to develop by this weekend. It's expected to drift in the same general direction as Alberto.
