The Louisiana Supreme Court is suspending New Orleans defense attorney Robert Jenkins from practicing law.

It's the 66-year-old lawyer's second suspension in three years.

Last week's decision bars Jenkins from legal practice for a year and a day. Louisiana attorneys suspended for more than a year must apply to be reinstated afterward.

The court previously suspended Jenkins for six months in April 2021 over claims of misconduct.

He reportedly admitted to violating four Rules of Professional Conduct while on probation.
