A Saints legend is set to receive a prestigious award at this year's ESPYs.
Former New Orleans safety Steve Gleason has been selected to receive the 2024 Arthur Ashe Courage Award. The award is given to an individual whose contributions transcend sports and who reflect the spirit of Arthur Ashe.
Gleason was diagnosed with ALS in 2011. He went on found the nonprofit organization Team Gleason along with his wife.
He became the first football player to receive the Congressional Gold Medal for his advocacy work with ALS back in 2020.
