New Orleans tourism experts say this year's Essence Festival of Culture will bring hundreds of millions of dollars to the city's economy.
The 30th annual event starts Thursday and ends on Sunday. Hotel occupancy for Saturday night is reportedly over 90 percent, the highest it's been since 2019, before the pandemic.
Tourism officials say the economic impact may reach $300 million or more.
Vice President Kamala Harris will be in attendance at the festival for the second year in a row.
