As of Thursday, Louisiana is the 28th state to allow concealed carry of a gun without a permit.

The law requires people to reveal they're armed if they're interacting with police. They have to agree to a pat-down and allow the officer to temporarily take the gun if he feels the need.

You can't carry a gun in bars, casinos, government buildings, schools, school buses, or within a thousand feet of a school.

Guns aren't allowed in demonstrations, parades, or businesses that don't welcome them.
