A nine-year-old boy is recovering at home after an alligator attacked him in Lake Pontchartrain over the weekend.
The boy and his family were swimming in the lake on Sunday evening when the six-foot gator put the bite on his left leg. The boy's father jumped on the alligator and beat it until it let go
EMS took the boy to a local hospital.
The Department of Wildlife and Fisheries responded to capture the alligator, but there's no word as to whether they found it.
