Kenner officials say the city's crime-fighting camera system is getting results.

Police Chief Keith Conley says the cameras helped officers catch two juveniles after a police chase early Tuesday morning involving s stolen car.

The City Council voted in December 2022 to install more 50 cameras on major roadways to check license plates and notify officers of any cars flagged for criminal activity.

There are now 72 cameras in the city. Conley and the council support the idea of adding more.
