Former LSU star Jayden Daniels will call the shots for the Washington Commanders when they start the season against Tampa Bay.
The team announced Monday that Daniels had beat out Marcus Mariota for the job of starting quarterback.
Daniels won the Heisman Trophy for his exploits with the Tigers. Washington drafted him No. 2 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Kickoff at Raymond James Stadium is at 3:25 p.m. on Sunday, September 8.
