The Louisiana Department of Education is releasing a new guide for responsible use of artificial intelligence in K-12 classrooms.
The guidance can be used by school systems to create their own AI policies.
The guiding principles include data privacy and security measures must be in place and AI should be used according to ethical principles.
AI should also personalize learning experiences, address individual student needs, and promote agency and ownership over learning, as well as be transparent and explainable.
