St. Bernard Parish Public Schools will have an early dismissal on Tuesday and will remain closed on Wednesday in advance of Francine's arrival.
Chalmette High School, C.F. Rowley Alternative School, and W. Smith Elementary School will dismiss at 2 p.m. Tuesday, followed by middle schools and then remaining elementary schools. All afterschool activities on Tuesday and Wednesday are canceled.
Officials hope to resume regular schedules on Thursday.
