Mandatory Evacuations Ordered In Parts Of Southeast Louisiana

A mandatory evacuation is underway in Plaquemines Parish as Tropical Storm Francine gains strength.

An evacuation order took effect at 7 a.m. at Lake Hermitage, Happy Jack, Tidewater Road, Myrtle Grove, Venice, and from White Ditch to Phoenix, Wood Park and Grand Bayou.

At 2 p.m., voluntary evacuations will affect all of Eastbank and Venice north to Alliance.

Other mandatory evacuations in southeastern Louisiana include parts of Jefferson and Terrebonne Parishes, plus Lafitte and Grand Isle.
