Louisiana State Trooper Injured By Fallen Tree

A Louisiana State Police trooper is recovering from minor injuries he suffered on Wednesday night while dealing with hurricane damage.

At about 8 p.m. Wednesday, several officers from Troop A were trying to remove some fallen trees from the eastbound lanes of I-10 near Sorrento.

As they were working to clear the debris, another tree fell and hit the trooper.

Another trooper took him to a local hospital for observation.
