Former Saints player Steve Gleason, who requires special treatment for ALS, is recovering after he was hospitalized during Hurricane Francine.
Representatives for the 47-year-old former safety say he's in stable condition at Ochsner Hospital. The exact reason he was taken to the hospital wasn't given.
In an X post, Gleason's rep thanked the New Orleans Fire Department and EMS for responding during dangerous conditions, and the Ochsner staff for the care they provided.
