Employees at AT&T in the southeast are returning to work Monday after a deal was reached over the weekend with the Communications Workers of America.
The new contract includes just under a 20 percent pay increase with an additional three percent for wire technicians and utility operators. The agreement will go to union vote at a later date.
The deal has ended a 30-day strike affecting workers in Kentucky, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
