A recent heist is solved, thanks to a pair of magnet fishermen.
After Hurricane Francine, Bryce Nachtwey and Joseph Harrick dragged their magnet through canals and bayous to see what turned up.
In a canal near Sheffield Street in New Orleans East, they found an ATM, several guns, and a safe containing nearly $50,000 in casino vouchers.
Nachtwey and Harrick notified the New Orleans Police Department after their discovery, which connected the items to a recent robbery at the Carrollton Station Bar.
The two returned the safe and vouchers and were given a $400 bar tab.
