A former New Orleans inspector is under federal indictment for numerous charges of fraud.

Friday's indictment of Randy Farrell accuses him of fraudulent activities involving Mayor LaToya Cantrell and other high-ranking city officials.

Farrell reportedly worked with a businessman to provide a public official with Saints football tickets, an iPhone, and a steak dinner. Sources say the official is Cantrell, and the businessman is a close associate.

The perks were reportedly intended to influence decisions such as getting rid of Jennifer Cecil, former deputy director of the city's permitting department.
