First responders and volunteers from Louisiana are heading into the states that were in the path of Hurricane Helene.
The storm's winds and floods heavily damaged parts of Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas.
Acadian Ambulance sent 30 ambulances with 62 crew members to South Carolina.
A spokesman for the United Cajun Navy says two dozen volunteer crews are in Florida near the Georgia border, as well as in the Carolinas and Tennessee.
He says even the National Guard is asking them for help with rescue situations.
