Hurricane Milton is still a Category 1 storm as it leaves Florida and heads out into the Atlantic. Milton made landfall last night as a powerful Category 3 hurricane just south of Sarasota.
Cities on Florida's east coast are now reporting storm surge, flash flooding and damaging winds.
Several deaths are being reported in St. Lucie County where a tornado destroyed everything in its path. Search and rescue teams are still going through the rubble.
Gov. Ron DeSantis says there were 19 confirmed tornado touch downs, but that number is expected to rise.
