The Southeastern Conference is fining LSU $250,000 after fans stormed the field on Saturday after the Tigers beat Ole Miss.

The conference announced the fine on Sunday.

SEC officials say the fines for competition area policy violations are $100,000 for a first offense, $250,000 for a second offense, and $500,000 for all subsequent offenses.

The Tigers edged Ole Miss in overtime, 29-26. LSU Athletics says the sold-out game drew a crowd of more than 102,000 fans.
