The Saints are locking up their starting tailback with a new contract.
The team announced Wednesday that running back Alvin Kamara had agreed to a two-year contract extension. The NFL Network reports the new deal is worth about $24.5 million.
Kamara had recently denied trade rumors on social media and stated his plan to finish his career in New Orleans.
The 29-year-old has 111 carries for 438 yards and six touchdowns this season, as well as 34 catches for 252 yards and another score.
The Saints, losers of five straight, face the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday afternoon.
