A home-school student is in parental custody following her arrest for texting threats to students at a Covington private school.
St. Tammany Parish deputies say two students received the texts on Tuesday and Wednesday. The messages featured a photo of an unknown person with a gun.
Detectives identified and arrested the 14-year-old girl on Wednesday night.
She reportedly admitted she'd found the photo on the Internet and sent the texts, but didn't plan to harm anybody.
The girl faces a charge of terrorizing.
