A report from the city Office of Inspector General says deputies were overpaid for working off-duty Mardi Gras details in 2023.
The report released Tuesday says the handling of the overtime details may have led to overpayments of nearly $260,000 taxpayer dollars.
Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson is defending her office's policies and claims the Inspector General has a "misogynistic" agenda against her and other female leaders.
