A Covington woman is under indictment for embezzling more than $60,000 from the parents' club at a private school.

A St. Tammany Parish grand jury indicted Heather Long on a felony theft charge on Tuesday.

Long is accused of stealing from the bank account of the parents' club at Lake Castle Madisonville Private School. The thefts took place between 2022 and 2024, while Long served as the club's president.

Long was arrested in June. If convicted, she faces up to 20 years in prison, a $50,000 fine, or both.
