A special session of the state legislature, which has focused on tax reform, has come to an end.

Gov. Jeff Landry posted remarks in a pre-recorded video after the end of the session.

"Together, we are building a Louisiana that works for everyone--where opportunity isn’t just a dream, but a reality for every person, every family, and every business," said Landry.

Multiple bills got the thumbs-up and will now go to the governor's desk.

They include a flat state income tax and reductions to the corporate income tax. Other taxes will get changed to make up the difference.

The film tax credit program will be capped at $125 million a year. And the historic preservation tax credit program will be capped at $85 million.

And a controversial bill will charge state and local sales taxes on streaming TV services.
