A former employee of the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office is in custody after an audit turned up fraudulent schemes.

Police arrested Kenneth Lawson on felony charges of theft and fraud.

Lawson reportedly created a phony business to swipe more than $75,000 in federal grant funds, which he used for gambling and travel.

Still under investigation is the theft of more than $90,000 from the Inmate Trust Fund.

Warrants are out for two other former sheriff's office employees.
