A woman faces charges for the accidental shooting death of a toddler in Central City on Saturday night.
Leshawn Ratliff was visiting from Texas at the home of Tatisha Refuge on Willow Street.
Her three-year-old son Rudy Ratliff found a loaded gun that belonged to Refuge and accidentally shot himself with it. The boy later died at a hospital.
Refuge turned herself in Monday and is charged with negligent homicide. If convicted, she could face a prison term of up to ten years with no possibility of parole, since the victim was under age 10.
