A Louisiana mail carrier is pleading guilty to charges that she ripped off the federal government.

Myaika Gross, who delivered letters in Denham Springs, defrauded COVID-19 relief programs.

Court papers show the 40-year-old applied for pandemic unemployment benefits in five different states, claiming that she had been laid off for reasons related to the Coronavirus outbreak.

A federal investigation found that she pocketed nearly $66,000.
