The Louisiana Department of Health is speaking out about reports that they're no longer promoting vaccines.

A spokeswoman says the new policy is to encourage people to speak with their doctor if they have questions about COVID or the flu

The shift away from a one-size-fits-all approach cites concerns about safety.

There has been a spotlight on vaccines after President-elect Donald Trump nominated Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be the next head of Health and Human Services.

Kennedy has a long history of sharing anti-vaccine rhetoric.
