Louisiana Political Leaders Respond To Death Of Jimmy Carter

Louisiana's present and former leaders are saluting the legacy of former President Jimmy Carter, who died Sunday at age 100.

Governor Jeff Landry and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson have sent their condolences to the Carter family. They also praised Carter's public service and humanitarian efforts.

Also commenting in X posts were Congressman Troy Carter, Senators Bill Cassidy and John Kennedy, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, Representative Clay Higgins, Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill, and former Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards.
