An intersection in the Lower Garden District is closed at least through this afternoon following a partial building collapse.
Fire crews responded about 5:45 p.m. Monday to the site of the collapse on Magazine Street at the corner of Felicity Street.
A large part of the roof and the second-floor facade of the vacant two-story building collapsed, dropping bricks and debris into the street. No injuries were reported.
Code Enforcement inspectors will determine whether the building can be salvaged or should be torn down.
