The New Orleans City Council is moving ahead with its probe of the New Year's Day terror attack.

Council members voted on Thursday to start investigating the design, procurement, and installation of bollards across the city.

The investigation will focus on improving security in the French Quarter.

The Council took the time to praise the 175 police officers who responded to the attack.

Super Bowl LIX and Mardi Gras are coming up soon, and the Council aims to identify and deal with the weak spots in security.
