The New Orleans Pelicans announced Friday that forward Herb Jones would be out indefinitely due to a posterior labrum tear in his right shoulder.

An MRI on Thursday confirmed the injury.

Jones has started in 20 games this season for New Orleans, averaging 10.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists.

The loss of Jones is the latest injury in a season full of them for the Pelicans, who sit last in the Western Conference at 7-31.
