The White House has unveiled the new official portrait of First Lady Melania Trump, taken by Belgian photographer Régine Mahaux. The black-and-white image, captured in the Yellow Oval Room, shows Melania Trump in a dark suit and white blouse, with the Washington Monument visible in the background. The portrait was taken on January 21, 2025, shortly after President Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th president.

Melania Trump is standing behind a table with a serious expression, contrasting with her previous 2017 portrait, where she was smiling. Mahaux, who has photographed the Trump family since 2006, captured this latest image. The portrait follows the release of President Trump and Vice President JD Vance's portraits earlier this month.

Melania Trump, known for her fashion sense, attended the inauguration events in a navy and ivory ensemble by Adam Lippes and a black-and-white gown by Herve Pierre. Her fashion choices have often drawn comparisons to Jacqueline Kennedy's style.
