Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill says parents don't need to worry about immigration agents deporting their children.

Murrill says Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents aren't focused on students in schools.

She says their priority is on the removal of violent criminals and people on the terrorist watch list who have entered the country over the past four years.

A new state law prohibits sanctuary cities and parishes in Louisiana. Anybody preventing a federal agent from doing his job can be arrested.
