The families of the deadly Bourbon Street terrorist attack's victims are suing New Orleans officials and contractors for lax security.
The lawsuit names the city of New Orleans, the police department, an engineering firm, and the French Quarter Management District as defendants.
The suit claims city officials and contractors failed to secure the area against a potential vehicle attack. A similar suit was filed early this month.
Just after 3 a.m. on New Year's Day, Shamsud-Din Jabbar drove a rented pickup through Bourbon Street, killing 14 people and injuring dozens before police fatally shot him.
