The New Orleans City Council is still at odds with Mayor LaToya Cantrell for her decision to abandon a school funding deal.
Tuesday's council meeting was long and sometimes heated as a result.
Cantrell's administration supported a deal in November to provide New Orleans Public Schools with $20 million immediately, plus another $6 million for each of the next ten years.
But Cantrell's office stated this month the deal wasn't feasible and questioned the district's money management abilities.
A judge on Thursday will consider the district's motion to hold Cantrell's administration to her agreement.
