Gretna police are reporting that the grandparents of a victim of the Bourbon Street terror attack were killed by a drunk driver on Saturday night.
Police say Stephan Juarez was speeding the wrong way on Fourth Street around 6:40 p.m. when his pickup truck ran head-on into a parked Volvo.
Hubert and Victoria Gauthreaux were injured in the collision and later died at the hospital. Their grandson Hubert Gauthreaux III was killed in the New Year's Day attack in the French Quarter.
Juarez is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide, DWI, reckless driving, pot possession, and other crimes.
