Marrero Woman Accused Of Murdering Boyfriend In Argument About Breakfast

A Marrero woman is in custody and accused of fatally shooting her boyfriend in an argument over breakfast food.

St. John Parish deputies responded on Sunday morning to a 911 call from a home on East Lakeview Drive in LaPlace.

They found the victim, identified as Joshua Jones, dead at the scene with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Tamyrihu Hubbard told deputies she had shot Jones while they argued about what he'd made for breakfast. She then called 911.

Deputies arrested Hubbard for second-degree murder.
